I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
